"Skittles" was my reluctant model for this 6x6 acrylic on claybord. I used sandpaper and scraping to get different effects.

Kaethe Bealer: My name is Kaethe, pronounced "Kathy". I love to paint! My goals are to paint as much as I can and to get better. My husband, myself and our dog Niko, live on the San Francisco Bay. Our boat, Nirvana, is a 50ft trawler yacht. I paint small acrylics on board and go to my studio for larger works in oil. I currently study with Stanley Goldstein in San Francisco every Monday night. I also study with Peggi Kroll Roberts and Tim Horn. I have taken many other workshops that have positively influenced my work as well. Living in the bay area allows me access to some great artists! Art is a journey that I plan on traveling throughout my life. Thank you for being here!
