This is a recent commission of a dear pet who provided a lot of laughs and cheer during his life. He had a short life but with lasting effects. This is for Parie's family. 6x8 acrylic on cradled panel.

Spring Garden

I finished this this morning before going to my day job. It was for the "Meaning of Spring" challenge posted on the DPW site. My friend Sylvie was kind enough to pose for me when we were painting in the city last year, was it spring? 8x8 acrylic on cradled wood panel. SOLD

Doggie Boy

Yesterday, my friend and I went to see the "Girl with a Pearl Earring" at the DeYoung Museum. It was a great show. Afterwards we went walking around the city to take photos for painting references. I could not resist this guy who was waiting outside of Walgreen's for his Dad. Such a good boy and poser! It is my entry for the monochromatic challenge on the DPW site. 6x6 acrylic on Aquabord. Tabby in Light AKA Miley

Meet Miley. His parents were successful bidders at the East Bay SPCA auction way back in October 2012. They have been very patient with me awaiting this painting. This is from one of the photos supplied and I couldn't resist the shadow shape that you see in the center. This is acrylic on cradled wood panel.  I am heading to the hills this weekend for another workshop with Peggi Kroll Roberts. I just love her and her work! Maybe my next post will be sooner than one month.
