Crosswalk

There were many things about this  that captured my attention; the light, the figures and that pink skirt. I have been meaning to paint this from a series of photos I did while I ventured around the city. If I station myself in one place for awhile and take pics, eventually I'll get something.

  5. I think the yellow horizontal stripes linking to the vertical figures takes this beyond the typical street scene. Love the way you painted the shadows. Perfect! Fabulous!

  6. Little things - make a painting work... such as the highlight on the right shoulder of the man walking into the painting... and the leftward tilt of the woman in the ecru blouse... and yes... the masterstroke of focusing the eye... the tint of the green light. Love it.
