I just completed this one this afternoon. Its a submission for the Daily Paintworks Challenge this week. You were suppose to paint something that was a gift. My friend Diane and I grew up together since our early teens in Hawaii. She gave me this shell long, long ago. Whenever I look at it, it gives me a smile. I'll be seeing her soon.
This is my entry for the Daily Paint Works "Polka Dot" Challenge submitted by Carol Marine, (a wonderful artist). I made up the background to meet the criteria. I think patterns are fun and this maybe somewhat of a new direction. At least it was fun to try anyway. This is a 6x6, acrylic on cradled wood panel. SOLD
