Mrs. Watanabe

Mrs. Watanabe is such a nice warm lady. She is a long time orchid club friend of my parents. She allowed me to photograph her last year when I was helping my Dad sell at the Manoa Orchid Show. So gracious of her. I have been working on the painting off and on for the past year with Stanley Goldstein on Monday nights. This is a 12x16 oil on archival linen panel.

  1. This is a pretty special portrait. So much to admire about the way you painted it.
I feel as if I can guess her warm personality even if I had not read what you wrote.

  2. Thank you Julie. I am glad that sense about her comes through. Maybe it takes one to know one? You are always so warm and gracious yourself. :)
