Picking Wildflowers

7x7
acrylic on cradled panel

This image caught my eye when I was perusing the Paint My Photo site. I think my challenge here was to keep the facial features from being exaggerated. I have to remember to back up and observe what I am doing.

  1. Beautiful! I love all the colors you capture in her white dress. And I love the sweet expression you captured with the features...

  2. I especially love the reflected light on her face next to the cast shadow on her collar. This is a wonderful portrait.

  4. A fabulous painting in every way. It has great composition, masterful technique, just the right level of detail, wonderful depiction of light, and a subject that's absolutely delicious. It's a knockout.

  6. Love the light and soft expression. There is something a little sad, or maybe just quiet and internal about this. The light and composition are wonderful. Another beauty!!
