To Go

This piece is a submission I did for the Daily Paint Works challenge on reflections. I set up the arrangement on the galley counter. Can you see the fridge in the back? This is proof that I don't suffer living on a boat. Yes, its double sided.

  1. Good morning Kaethe,

What a neat painting. Love the brushwork. The blog is looking really good. Are you getting a little more confidence with each posting?

  2. Doesn't sound like suffering to me...that sounds like a dream life; living on a boat in San Francisco, and painting. A double sided refrigerator is gravy. Well done!

  3. I am geeting comfortable in some ways but still have some kinks to work out. I'll be pushing myself forward no matter what.

Thank you both for your comments and looking at my blog. I looked at your submissions to DPW this am, great work!

  5. Kaethe,
I love your art, and always have, even in high school.:) I recognised that spot in the kitchen, too. It's amazing how something so simple can make such beautiful art.
I am going to a class that integrates the art, reading, and writing (with my friend Joel) at the end of the month.

    Di

  6. Di is my life long buddy and if anyone could see my progression, it would be her. Two Army brats growing up in Hawaii. Those were the days. :)

  7. Love your reflections! Great "metal work." I feel like I could just pick up those car keys and go for a drive.
