I am in the "30 in 30" challenge this month, hosted by Leslie Saeta. This painting has kept me busy for a couple of days. I count it for day 1 and 2. The title could easily be changed to "Pale Rose; A Close Up Struggle!"

Thanks for checking in! I'll be painting everyday but probably won't post everyday. We'll see how many paintings I can complete in September while I get ready for a show and work on commissions :-).

  1. Great start to the Challenge. Such a beautiful high key painting. Sometimes I think the smaller size is harder... two days...yes, I understand. I will be following you along with pleasure at seeing your work more frequently, (but grateful I am not participating!)

  2. Gosh, this is gorgeous, Kaethe. The subtle tones are particularly luscious. I can't believe that you're trying to do daily paintings plus prep for a show, AND tackle commissions! Yoiks! You have enviable energy, woman!

  3. It could also be called portrait of a rose. Beautiful.

    1. It's my own dissatisfaction that makes me call it a study :-)
