Confession and new paintings...

Marina at Dusk

Night Swim

It really was my intention to paint everyday this month even if it meant painting consistently on one painting versus 30 paintings. So here is my confession...I DIDN'T DO IT! You know how it is, life gets in the way. So I apologize to anyone who had that expectation. On the bright side, I have been busy this weekend. I finished up on 2 paintings. They will be part of the upcoming "Night Light" show at Studio Gallery.

A special shout out to Els Manning for letting me use this image of her daughter Aubri! You can follow Els on Instagram. I am there too!

  1. These pieces are fabulous! I especially like the marina painting,so crisp and clean - just perfect. When you are working on paintings like these we will forgive you for not painting every day this month - just super, Kaethe

  2. Don't beat yourself up, Kaethe. It's the intention that counts, and you seem to me to be very diligent. More important, these are two stunning paintings!! With results such as these, who cares how frequently you "clock in." Beautiful work, as always.

  4. Very nice Kaethe. We can only try our best so no need to confess!

  5. I'm sure living afloat helps, but your painting of water is second to none; love both paintings particularly the second. I also really liked your 'drawing with pen'- a couple of postings ago - superb.

I'll be back building my boat in two weeks!!!
