Day 1 of the September 30 in 30

 6x6
acrylic on panel

This is "Earth Mover" its one of many small paintings that I am doing for a project in collaboration with my niece Aimee. This is of my nephew Rory who works as a heavy machine operator at an outpost in western Australia.

Happy Labor Day!
We'll see how many paintings I can get done this month!

    1. Thank you Meredith! I normally would not have chosen this subject but it has a dual purpose for the challenge and the project.

  5. Wow, this is great Kaethe! I thought this looked very West Australian just by the colours! You didn't sneak over here for a visit without telling me did you - or are you painting from photos?

    1. The reference photos come from my niece Aimee who lives in Madurah. Believe me, we would have been painting together if I were there!
