Day 12, Dragonfly #3

This is also a painting I did from a reference photo on Wet Canvas. This will mark the last of my insect series for awhile. So, I won't be "bugging" you. I know, I know but I just had to say it. :) 4x4 acrylic on gessobord.

  1. Love your dragonfly series Kaethe - all painted beautifully! I too love dragonflies - there is something magical about them.

    1. Thank you Helen. I have to admit that after Dragonfly #3, I was ready to move on but I will come back to the subject.

  6. Lovely to see the dragonfly series Kaethe, what thrilled me was their shimmering, translucent wings and the sense that at any moment they would take off and vanish. Excellent subject matter beautifully rendered.
