Day 28, The Work Horse

Last April my friend and I attended the plein air convention in Monterey. On our last day there, we went around the neighborhoods and took lots of pictures. This truck is from one of those. If you ever have the opportunity to go to the convention, I would highly recommend it. Its like being around art rock stars. There is so much info shared. It was very inspiring to me. I am going this year again. Maybe I will see you there? 6x8 acrylic on cradled panel. Sold

  2. This is fantastic Kaethe! Perfect perspective and composition. I'm amazed that you can paint a vehicle in one day. I take forever to get the angles and perspective right with this sort of subject matter.
I love the colour and the character of the truck too!
Two to go! (for me it's two and a half!)

  3. Thank you both for commenting. Just so you know, I grid before I start painting. It saves a lot of time and sometimes headaches. I am not always good at measuring things out and getting proportions correct.
